Anyone have any insight into the tailgating/parking situation at NRG for the bowl game? Would like to purchase several passes for our tailgate and trailer, but all I see is secondary market.

I was told day of game parking will be $25.
Email came out today, subject “Paint NRG Stadium Red — Texas Bowl Tickets & Fan Events” with link to parking:

I emailed this person at the Texans, and here is his reply on what parking will cost.
Parking will be $50 the day of the game. I believe I saw the $25/parking thing yesterday that you’re referring to, we’re told that is not accurate and will be changed soon.

Not sure what time parking lots will open for this game, but last year parking opened 4 hours prior to the game, so if I had to guess I’d say around 4pm-4:30pm.

Is all parking $25?
Blue, Green and Yellow
No - none of the NRG parking is at that price.
You can prepay for around $40 (and maybe get a reserved lot?) or pay $50 for whatever on game day.
With fees, the prepay was $46 and you can pick your lot, at this point.
At the gate, it will be around $55 with tax.
That $25 was pretty naive considering its $50 at UH games.

All I can go by is what was listed on Texas Bowl website if that’s naive so be it, figured they had a lot more sense than UH about parking

Wasn’t sure were to park. Picked the red lot.
All I get is a message that says currently there are no events to choose for parking
So probably over $300 for parking spots to tailgate. That’s rough, but It will probably end up cheaper than the $20 beers and $10 hot dogs at whatever “sponsored” tailgate ends up happening

It is my understanding that the Blue Lot is where all the UH Group tailgating will be. The Link provided in post by staffordcoog is for the Blue Lot.
