The Charles Whitman incident in 1966 was a shocking event. As a high school junior, I remember watching it on television.
Little did we know it was just the beginning of mass shootings by unhinged individuals.

no, but there’s no need to publish a tragic day; you could have just skipped august 1st if that is the only thing that happened yesterday in texas. i doubt UT still makes public note unless its a 25 or 50 year anniversary. i doubt you want to walk thru the cancer ward at Texas chidldrens hospital.
I disagree… if you forget what, and how, it happened you’re doomed to repeat it.
I fail to see the comparison to questioning why God has given all those sweet, innocent kids cancer…
And if you remember yet still keep doing the same things you won’t just repeat it you’ll magnify it. That’s where we have been for a long while.
