What is the longest river which lies entirely within the State of Texas?
I think this one is slightly tricky.
The Brazos is considered the longest river entirely within Texas.
But… the headwaters of the Brazos is Blackwater Draw, which starts in New Mexico between Clovis and Portales. The watershed of the Brazos extends into Eastern New Mexico. About 95% of the watershed is in Texas, though.
Blackwater Draw, btw is full of important archaeological sites. It’s where Clovis arrowhead points were discovered. Lots of prehistoric mammoth, camel, horse, dire wolf and tiger fossils in that area.

The Brazos River. When including its longest fork, the Brazos runs 938 miles to the Gulf of America, stretching its length beyond the 860-mile Colorado River in Texas.
i would of guessed that one, the brazos just kind of goes all over.
did you know that you can’t go 6 miles in any direction from anywhere in Michigan and not run into water ? you think of it as this peninsula surrounded by water but it also got water all over it.
