Wasn’t even close to Louisville atmosphere! Yes it was full probably 40% TT fans, but stadium was not loud. In the Louisville game it was 90% UH fans and LOUD wire to wire, last night not so much
It was loud but it was more a hateful vibe. Louisville game was energized. It felt like a playoff game. There was a lot of talent and substance to our team that year. You knew there was going to be violence on every play.
Of course not. All we have to do is regroup, win the rest of our games, beat TT in the championship game, go to the playoffs and win the National Championship.
That’s not happening.
Just win whatever we can the rest of the season.
You counted, there were 17,000 Tech fans?
It wasn’t loud but for a few moments. Not even close to Louisville 2016.
Because the Louisville game started with the Cards fumbling the opening kick off and we scored a TD on the very next play. It was 7-0 before I could get to my seat. The crowd was hype from there.
Last night began with a Tech 68 yard methodical FG drive followed by a stupid first play call, a possible backwards pass, and an absolutely boneheaded lack of effort to cover the ball.
When we held them to a FG you could tell the crowd was into it but our offense is simply weak.
It was not 40% tech fans… prob closer to 20%
Got the tale end of the student section fight last night
I couldn’t believe it. Kozial was the only person on the team who had some awareness of that.
Yea tech fans weren’t as vocal as the last few times. Maybe because we are on equal footing with them now that we are in the Big12.
Definitely there wasn’t no 40% Tech fans. Tech fans stayed at the end and you could see how many were left. More like 15-20%. Tech definitely brought.
I left with 5 minutes left and half the fans leaving were Tech fans.
Lol yeah…
I feel like our botched 1st drive of the game sorta quelled any emotion or “juice” we had going in, and (for me at least) signaled a bad omen for what was to come.
The silverlining is that our defense kept us in the game for most of the 1st half (as over-matched as they were)…it’s just that our offense couldn’t get anything going (save for the points that Criss-Gremillion was able to eek out) to give the home crowd any hope or spark.
It’s so weird, but I did notice that, too.
Maybe they were so confident that they were gonna win or maybe they were cautiously approaching this game because we were 4-0, but no one could really gauge if we were truly good or not.
Turns out, we’re not (when facing elite competition).
Tech fans in front of me. Tech fans behind me. Tech fans to the left of me. My family to the right of me, only one of them wearing a tech cap. Most obnoxious fans in our area were Coog fans.
Because they stood during the game?
No. Before the first quarter was over, the two that cannot see over the railing without standing up in their front row seats decided to sit the rest of the game. The obnoxious were Coogers screaming the F word toward TT fans. Totally inappropriate and unnecessary . . . . .
