We all are appreciative of this team, the coaching staff and the success of your efforts. There are some things that I greatly appreciate.
First, you started the season as a team and you ended it as a team. No one opted out of the bowl game. That speaks volumes about your character. We all recognize that alone was a most unselfish act, but it shows your commitment to the team and our school.
Early in the season I noticed that our receivers always handed the ball back to the referees. A small thing for sure but it shows a great deal of respect for the refs and for the sport. Someone has taught you that you are representing all of us. Spinning a ball on the turf apparently has now become a developed talent of some very self centered teams.
You played a full four quarters in each game. More importantly you played it at a high level with complete sportsmanship. LSU needs to dial in around a hundred yards of penalties into each of their game plans. Penalties are a part of the game but the type of penalties they got reflects exactly who they are.
Not since CBY have we had a coach that develops life long character traits in our players. CWF is to be congratulated. I am even becoming fond of that chubby apple dumpling in charge of our defense.
You are a greatly reflection of our school and program. Please accept my sincere appreciation for all that you have done.
