Did you read my post?
If BYU beats teetech in the BIG12 Championship game should they be selected vs bama?
Then should teetech make the cfp?
I’ll wait for your answer.
I read it. We shouldn’t be in a position as a conference to need our regular season winner (TT) to lose in the conference title game to back door in a second team and that is if the CFP doesn’t arbitrarily decide to pull some shenanigans and drop TT to 13 and keep us at 1 team in because ‘reasons’. In no way is a highly subjective committee having control over the SELECTION of the teams a good thing for our conference. I don’t care how good Yormark has been for our conference otherwise he is 100% dead wrong on that position because the bias for the SEC and BIG and other brands like Notre Dame or Miami in the SELECTION process is insane and not going away. The CFP needs to be restricted as much as humanly possible to merely RANKING a list of teams already in the playoff that they are given - you do that through allotted auto bids with a periodic objective review of if the auto bid allotment should be adjusted.
So your saying a #15 Michigan (4th in Big 10) is deserving to get in, but #13 Utah (3rd in Big 12) is not.
Got it.
Im not sure why we care, we are not even #2 in our conference. Hopefully we have more than 200 people at the bowl game. hahahahahahahaha
Not at all. The top 4 Big 12 teams would play for the 2 Big 12 playoff spots. 1v4 and 2v3. If it ended today would be TT hosting ASU and BYU hosting Utah or have both games at ATT Stadium. Winners in. 2 big tv games. More $ for the conference.
My system would have Michigan at 4 hosting USC at 5 for a play in game.
Tons of games on playin weekend where teams earned the chance to play in and the if they win they earn a playoff spot.
This system actually earns something on the field. Easy call
What are the chances we get in?
Let’s get past the bull. ESPN owns the CFP and the SEC outright - 5 invites for the SEC. ESPN shares ownership of the BIG - 3 invites. ACC, B1, ND, and G6 get the last 4. If and only if the SEC only gets 4 invites the AAC will get 2.
Not really an easy call as you still give preference to the Big 10 over the Big 12.
First, the 4422 is in consideration by powers that be, the play in is not, so not really relevant. But…
Plus you are making the first place Big 12 team have to play in, while 1-3 of the Big 10 get in automatically and only their 4th place is play in based upon your replay. Not even close to an easy fair call.
That said, your post still allows for a lower ranked Big 10 team to get in over a higher ranked Big 12 team. Again, not an easy fair call. This was the point of my reply.
If we are looking for fairness the NCAA is not a good place to start. As long as decisions are made based on money there will always be unfair results.
Is the NCAA even involved in the CFP ?
The ncaa is controlled by the blue bloods. The blue bloods control the cfp.
No, the NCAA does not control any aspect of the CFP. It is an outside organization with its own board of directors made of only FBS school leaders.
It’s bankrolled by Disney so they pull the strings
They are positioning texas to sneak into the playoffs.

Miami will move over BYU this week in the CFP poll so they can say if BYU loses, the CCG had no impact. This is even though the Big 12 is far more deserving of a second team over the ACC getting a second team.
That’s about as surprising as water being wet.
There is no way in hell that should happen. They did not earn it.
G5 - 1 (winner of Ntex v Tulane)
ACC - 1 (winner of Miami v Virginia)->VA v Duke
Big 12 - 1 or 2 (Tech and/or BYU)
Big 10 - 3 (OhioSt, ISU, Oregon)
SEC - 4 or 5 teams (Georgia, Ole miss, Aggie, Bama and 1 of Okie. Vandy, UnivAustin)
If SEC gets 5 then Big12 gets screwed and only gets 1.
Texas is complaining about the Ohio State game, but the reality is that the SEC (and ACC) play 8 conference games instead of 9 like the B1G and B12. Texas still scheduled 3 cupcakes in their other OOC games. If the SEC played 9 conference games, then Texas would have another SEC team on the schedule instead of a 4th cupcake. Plus the SEC would likely be left with fewer 1-2 loss teams. The CFP is put in a bad position because of the SEC’s scheduling.
The CFP needs to tell the all conferences to play 9 conference games so that we are making fair comparisons.
Texas Logic:
Every football team that lost to Ohio State this season should be in the College Football Playoff. Every single one of them.
