I think our Front 7 will be too much for Salter.
Offense has to keep getting better though.
Yes. Yes we certianly can beat Colorado

Houston opens up as a -3 favorite on DraftKings. I expected the Buffs to be favored, but I absolutely think the Coogs can win. It can’t be a repeat 1st half from tonight though.
Yes it can. If we are up 7-3 at the half, I like our chances. We will wear teams down.
I like our D.
Bet on the Coogs!!!
Can we? Yes
Will we? TBD
We have good chances. Just hope we avoid taking shot plays on 2 and 10. The offense is too inefficient right now to consistently convert 3rd and longs. That’s how we stalled early in both games!
Colorado’s defense isn’t coached as well as these past two teams. Their offense will be a test however.
Coogs by a FG.
Looks like CU played 3 QBs last game. Anyone know why? I didn’t watch but curious if we’ll see multiple QBs
If the offense that showed up in the 2nd half against Rice shows up we have a very good chance of winning.
Salter and Lewis werent effective against Delaware.
Their QB3 Staub was. Staub was Shedeurs backup as QB2 and was one of the only recruits from the previous staff that Prime kept.
I expect the best crowd we’ve had in some time Friday night. I think we have a real chance to jump on them early like we did at TDECU against that Lamar Jackson Louisville team. Need our fans to be loud and our defense to be swarming to the ball like they have been and I think we could set the tone early.
Really need the offense to try to hit some big plays Friday night. Our drives are stalling because our run game isn’t consistent and we are throwing too many short routes whether that be by design or Weigman not having anywhere to go with the ball and having to check it down all the time to running jacks and Tight ends.
It’d be a nice surprise if we saw a good trick play or two Friday night and maybe even a change of pace look for a big play or whenever in something like a wildcat look.
If Colorado only puts up 3 points in the first half, then I’ll be thrilled and will feel great about the Coogs’ chances. CU has a little more firepower than Rice though.
Very winnable game……As well as Oregon State.
I realize it’s just SFU and Rice but our new DC that many trashed after his hire….well so far he has this defense humming….as a former HS DC, i really appreciate how the team swarms to the ball.
I think we head in to TTU game 4-0.
Staub will be starting against us….he looked good.
But that was Delaware, this is HOUSTON.
He gave QB1 and QB2 two drives each and was gonna let whoever played best have the rest of the game.
Both sucked so QB3 came in and handily outplayed both….he will start against us.
We have to prepare for 3 QBs now.
CO is shell of what it was last year and last year was a lightening in bottle moment.
Doesn’t mean it will be easy but does mean not the same.
Let’s make sure Colorado doesn’t figure things out against UH. Colorado needs to leave Houston with more questions than answers.
They have some guys on the outside that can take the top off for sure. Brown is pretty scary. They are somewhat of a wounded animal at this point.
Wouldn’t be surprised if the total hits 65 ish. Their defense gave up 400 yds to Delaware at whopping 6 yards per play. They tackle poorly, take bad angles, and their D line struggled getting off of blocks.
34-31 Coogs
Colorado is going to score the same against us as they did against Delaware?
I think so. Not saying it will be because we regressed as a defense. Betting there will be some cheese with trying to draw flags. Refs will call some of those in their favor. Also think they’re gonna be laser focused.
Think @Arizona last year.
They might be out of sync as an offense but one thing we learned(us at TCU last year), a couple big plays can beat you. CU is still very talented on offense. Gotta be careful.
I agree with Pollard “QB3” will start. I don’t think we need to prepare for 3 QBs… They will have to give QB3 first team reps in practice, because he doesn’t get them otherwise. I suspect that’s what they will do. If anything happens to him, QB1 is the alternative. QB2, the freshman is the odd man out.
There’s a lot of risk for Colorado in trying to prep 2 new QBs (QB3 and QB2) in a short week.
Colorado should be farther along in their re-building process than UH, but they lost a lot of talent and reps. But, they are obviously more talented than SFA and Rice. It’s a good next test for the Coogs. I’m looking forward to it.
Go Coogs
