The title of the video is so clickbaity that for that alone I shouldn’t add to their view count.

I agree that it’s clickbaity, but on the flip side, UH rarely gets this kinda coverage from mid-sized YouTube channels.

Also, I wasn’t aware of some of the other scandals associated with CKS’s tenure at Indiana. I had always wondered about it because CKS is so reluctant to talk about it.

The BB powers that be have always been reluctant to allow UH membership into their club of perennial BB royalty. How many decades did it take to get Guy Lewis in the HOF. You can be sure any negative will be highlighted. But we’ll get there anyway.

What negative headlines did Guy V. Lewis have?

I’m not aware of them.

He didn’t suck up to the eastern press. They used that to limit coverage and when they did, it was usually negative. First example that comes to mind is a story that his coaching skills consisted of rolling the balls onto the court for practice. Toss in the fact that he openly recruited and played black athletes rubbed a lot of the old guard the wrong way.

None, he just wasn’t recognized as being a great coach. I forgot what national commentator said it but said Lewis just rolls the ball on the court and tells them to play.

Good video. Worth a watch

IIRC, it was Dick Vitale…aka Dickie V…seems like it was made in 1983 just before the Final Four

I don’t care for Vitale, but it wasn’t him. No one ever publically made that statement, just behind the scenes
