I still think the ACC or Pac-12 are more likely scenarios. There are 4 former Southwest Conference members in the Big 12: Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor, and TCU. Do you think they have forgotten what happened when they let us in the first time? 3 conference titles in football in our first 4 years in the conference? Texas doesn’t view us as a threat, but Tech, Baylor and TCU remember all too well the damage CBY did to their programs in the late '70s. They don’t want to play that game again.
