The new concession vendor is terrible

They are the same as at the store, thus the similarity.

Beer rant
Ran out of decent beer both in and outside club. On beer front, we have really taken a step back from days when we had good draft beer from local craft beer scene to canned options of the same variety (I.e., pretty much all Pilsners). The other annoying issue is the only options that didn’t run out of beer were the bars where people are getting mixed drinks so wait time to be handed can of beer sucks.

You know who really sucks? Our fans! We can say we are the best at not supporting our teams.

What does that have to do with concession?!?

We suck because we don’t eat the swill that is served.

Saturday I did plan to eat a full meal at the stadium and was hoping for some good selection and skipped lunch because of it.

Big mistake on my part and TDECU concessions will not be getting much more business beyond a Coke and possibly popcorn.

I haven’t been in town on a game week yet, but these consistent complaints are bad news. While the complaints would still be here is we were winning they would be less critical.

With the team currently struggling though, top notch stadium experiences are hugely important to maintain a positive relationship with fans and especially casual fans.

You can still be a draw with a great stadium experience, not as much as a team kicking butts but the floor can be raised up with a positive experience. Experiences like everyone’s describing and you could find it hard to pay a casual fan to come again.

Unfortunately it’s been an issue since TDECU opened.

There have been complaints even during our peach bowl run but winning makes the cold hot dog go down easier.

I dont know what the answer is. With only 20k in attendance it’s not possible to have many concessions open and make money. Nor is it possible to have high quality/cost food. It’s a quandary but I’m sure we aren’t the only stadium in the USA that has attendance problems.

Cokes and beer are typically big money makers and usually the folks managing the front line staff make sure they won’t sell out early in the game since it is where the $$ is made. Seems odd that even that item was a mess Saturday.

If anyone else went to the baseball game against the ags they’ll know how bad concessions can turn in a hurry.

We used to have beer guys who worked Minute Maid and NRG. Now we have crooks and, even then, not close to enough of them

All these stadium management issues (concessions, ticket office, sound system, wi-fi) are on the athletic director. Maybe he can take his lips off Tillman’s backside long enough to run his department?

We all know this is true yet the vendor stopped selling bottled sodas. If you are in the 300s have to walk all the way down to get fountain soda from the concession. I’ve never seen a vendor not sell sodas with beer and water at the kiosks.

Took the liberty of tweeting Tilman on the terrible concessions and to prove the point that many are not happy, I also inclues the link to this thread.

Great idea

I agree with what everyone has said. There were 25 in the line I was in. At the counter, they had one person who took the order, took your money and then had to go get whatever you ordered. Everyone need to write Pezman. I did. This group has no idea what customer service is. After 45 years, getting harder and harder for me to go to the games. Someone needs to figure this out, IF they care at all.

Same reason you get one parking pass with 8 season tickets . . . . .

It should be a possibility to have COLD drinks and HOT food . . . . . with appropriate condiments

I went to get a beer and the kiosk was shuttered. A sign read, “We agree with Cary. Bad hire!”

Our tailgate group has food (tailgate and / or Alumni tent) prior entering TDECU so we do not have to rely on the concessions. Another option are the Alumni tents in Party on the Plaza. I think you can sign up for the Alumni tents (Except UH Life Member) for $10 or $15 per person and this will get you two beers and decent food. Best to get to tents at least a couple of hours before kick off.

I thought I heard in this past summer BB’s was going to be in TDECU. Anyone know? Is Chick-fil-a still in TDECU? I believe they were there last year.

BBs was on the home side in the general concessions behind the suites and press box levels. Looks like Chic-fil-a moved over and replace BBs this year.
