Houston: With just a .500 mark in. American Athletic play, the Cougars need all the help they can get from an RPI standpoint. UH climbed eight spots over the past week after beating Rice and taking two games from UNLV over the weekend. The Cougars are up to 36 in the RPI and finish the season with series against Tulane (at home) and on the road against UCF. If they can go 3-3 in that stretch and play well in the conference tournament, they’re likely in the field.

Man, college baseball schedules are so annoying when seeing how they affect a team’s RPI and standings for post tournament play.
