The Road to a Repeat Big 12 Title

We have a 2 game lead with 6 to play. Tx Tech and Arizona tied for second place.

Road games remaining:

UH: ASU, Tx Tech, Baylor

Tx Tech: TCU, Kansas, ASU

Arizona: Baylor, Iowa St., Kansas

I see Az as having the toughest road schedule, and finishing third.

UH seems to be in great shape to repeat. Home games vs Kansas and Iowa St. will be tough. However we already have lost our once-every-three years home game. We will beat ASU in Tempe. In Waco we face a team that we lead by 25 points with 6 minutes left in the game at Fertitta.

A second straight Title is within our grasp! :basketball::stuck_out_tongue:

The tech game in Lubbock will be tough

Agreed. Get in, take care of business and get the hell out

In regards to the game in Lubbock

Yes. Anything can happen, but I am mainly concerned about losing at Tech, dropping a close one at Baylor, and Tech getting past Kansas in Lawrence. We’d still be co-champions (or tri-champions but I can’t see Arizona not losing another one with that schedule), but I want to win it outright.

Out of all the basketball conferences we have been in, this one is the easiest. We win the title every year.

I was just watching Memphis vs Wichita St. and longing for the days when our conference opponents could hang with us

I think that we will win in Lubbock.

We will win in Lubbock if we can keep TT below 30 FTA.

The Dead Faders live to shoot 3’s. Against Okie St they hit 18!

Of course that becomes their weakness. Live by the 3 die by the 3.

It also is true that we can lose in Lubbock and win the conference.

I’m more worried about having a down game here against Iowa State than I am going to Lubbock.
I really think the Coogs are looking forward to the game at Tech.
Hope we win them both

I hate Tech

Yeah, I think they will be super focused in Lubbock. The Iowa State game, with Gameday, is the one I wonder about.

With game day here and the spotlight

Hope so…but heck I want to beat ASU to start things off…

Given that our schedule is tougher than Tech’s, the game in Lubbock may well determine the champion. If the Coogs take care of business in Lubbock it should be game over.

I predict that we beat both ASU and ISU.

Thus in Lubbock we still have at least a 2 game lead. Red Faders cannot catch us with a win next week.

I also predict that we capture The Big 12 Title when we win in Lubbock.

                     🏀 😀

Good summary. Playing in Lubbock will be a chore but so was playing in Lawrence and Tempe.

Tech at home is a ‘dance’ type game- UH needs that kind of hostile environment.

LMAO!! They hate us right back!!

Tech’s hatred goes back to the Keenum touchdown. They never got over that. And our maintenance dept never got over the eleven metric tons of garbage they left on our campus.

Tech announced a blackout for the game on the 24th.

For coogs in attendance, what should we wear? Blue, white, or red?
