I had been doing lessons on the eclipse with elementary kids. I noticed they always says things like “its a thousand times bigger”, “its a million times bigger”. Numbers but did they really get it.
I played this video for them today. They started to get excited when the planets they knew started to appear, and then went absolutely nuts when the Sun showed up. Great lesson in scale.
