Its great we have so many players coming back. But maybe more impressive is we are retaining out staff again. Usually this amount of continued success would be mean someone gets lured away, and Sampson said there were offers. But it looks like we are keeping everyone. That’s a huge deal

Hollis Price, former All-American guard at OU and current special assistant to coach Kelvin Sampson, has signed with KlutchSports. Price will be represented by Dan Shell. @DanShellSports
Yet another member of Sampson’s staff in position to join future head-coaching ranks. Price has been on Sampson’s staff for 10 years.
They get paid well and in a winning program and I can tell you the offers some get it’s not enough for them to jump as it’s basically bad low majors where they are from - they have no incentive to move unless you can get comparable jobs now or you get a situation where a TSU opens where basketball means more and its offers a place where a first time head coach can win and get out quick - and those are far and few between in major markets
Coach K’s staff stayed for quite some time until they started to get Big East, ACC level gigs, etc
The staff is running it back!
