The Unbreakable Game | WVU @ UH | 11AM November 1st | FS1

When he lets it bounce then goes after it, I always hold my breath, that’s why I asked.

There is no need for everybody to freak out now. UH GAVE them 2 touchdowns and helped them with brainfarts and penalties, Our offense stunk it up and the defense gave up too many big plays. As bad as UH played we should have lost by 3 touchdowns. The way I look at it, this game was a blessing. Our guys should be embarrassed and pissed off. UH can now see where we need to improve. Usually good teams fix their problems.

Horrible argument. One of those teams went 4-8 in the AAC the year before. Another had a losing season. The last lost their head coach.

But look at this season and our schedule. UNT beats SFA, Rice, and OSU. Already better than your 1-8 comment.

While Mews hasn’t lived up to the hype he’s been mostly solid and was not at fault there

1-8 was intended to denote the final conference record, I’m fairly certain.

Mews has unlimited potential as a returner, but so far he’s only shown potential.

No they didn’t. UCF, Cincy, and UH all finished in the top 4 of the AAC the year before they joined.

As for the 1-8 comment that was a prediction for their conference record.

Come on Arizona State beat Iowa State!

As Dana Dimel once said in a press conference, “we just need to play better on offense, defense, and special teams.”

Not that simple but could be that simple. Usually when you break down film it comes down to about 10 plays where if player A does this or that, the whole thing changes.

Sorry… looked at the wrong year. My bad.

But CO and OK State are bad. OSU lost to the last place AAC team this year.

Still can’t believe they got the punt turnover. Watched their lineman push our guy, our guy’s back foot hit the ball, and one of their receives fell on the ball. Just pure wacko ball going on.

The fact the ball bounced perfectly, right into the path of their scuffle is astounding luck. Never seen something like that before.

It’s the 2nd time I’ve seen it this year. The other was also a Big XII game, I want to say Utah at BYU.

I’ve definitely seen it before. Happens at all levels. Just a lack of awareness.

Oklahoma St is legit bad. If UNT was lucky and got them on the schedule that’d be a win. Colorado seems bad by B12 standards. Theyd be a beast in the AAC. They handled their two G5 opponents easily, beat a quality ISU team, and nearly knocked off two top 10 teams in GT and BYU. If an AAC team did that in the non-conference they’d be getting hyped up like crazy. Just look at USF or Memphis for proof of that.

This game reflects where we are — and how far we still have to go to become an elite program. Some of you are being completely unrealistic. This was a major trap game for us. We were favored by a margin we haven’t seen in years, and West Virginia had nothing to lose. They pulled off the kind of win we had a few times last season — the unexpected one that nobody saw coming.
This loss is a reminder that we have to work harder than ever and, above all, focus on fundamentals. You simply can’t win in this league with that many turnovers. Apart from maybe one or two programs, at least eight teams are neck and neck — and turnovers have a massive impact. When our defense isn’t having its best outing, those mistakes cost us dearly.
I’m currently flying back from Europe, and even following the game on ESPN Gamecast was brutal — I must have refreshed my laptop a hundred times. Of course I’m disappointed, but I’m also taking this loss with a grain of salt. We’re not there yet.
Anyone who thought we’d go undefeated before this game probably believes in the tooth fairy — or unicorns. This defeat is a kick in the backside, plain and simple. You own it, you learn from it, and you move on. End of story — on to the next game.
That’s the only way to approach a loss like this. And yes, get your tickets for the next home game — that’s how you show support for our team and our school.
I’m not going to break down offense, defense, special teams, or coaching. They know, and we know — we got our butts kicked. You fail, you get up, and you push forward. We still have plenty to play for. With two Big 12 losses, we’re still not out of it.
If you’d told me before the season that we’d be in this position right now, I would’ve said you must work in our ticket office — because you’re an optimist.
Let’s keep our heads up and keep grinding. The season isn’t over.
One last point and this is directed to some that thinks the Shasta sky is falling. It ain’t and our Coogs will be right back at it before you know it.

The pick 6 is what killed us. It was a bad play call. Just run it, you have it at the 20 and down 3. FG and tie is in the bag. We just kept trying to win the game in one play instead of going toe to toe with an inferior team. We’re not good enough to just roll over teams throwing it deep all the time, we’re just not.

no one person is to blame for that s*it show i just sat through. plenty of blame for coaches players and fans. Time to watch film, identify errors and fix them. This season isnt over, coach’s job to make sure it isnt.

We fumbled 5 times, lost it twice. We threw two interceptions, one being pure luck.

It’s hard to beat any team when you turn the ball over four times.
