The worst part of tonight

Yep.

Sounds like you have the same memories I have.

Sadly yes. When the hiring of Coach Clyde and the firing of Coach Helton are the athletic highlights of your time at UH, then it was truly pathetic. But yes, the baseball team was legit good in those days.

I was there the same time.

Midnight madness with Clyde was fun. That is about it on fun for that era.

Another comment and another

Idiot comment.
What a defeatist approach.
Do you all realize that for the first time in our program Mr. CKS has recruited a true center? He has recruited what many (including me) thought impossible that he/CKS would recruit a player like Arafan. CKS has never had a player with so much inside presence since he has been here.
I am jacked up.
I am pumped up.
I can’t wait for next season.
We have young players that are already showing tremendous potential.
Some of you react this way? It is showing everyone that you have not learned a damn thing about the type of HC CKS is and his Coaching staff is all about.

I think too many on this board is taking this run for granted. We thought the success we had with GVL would just continue. Sadly, it didn’t and it took something like 30 years just to be relevant again. Cherish this time. Cherish this coach.

100% agree with you.

Nothing last forever, and we should enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts and be greatful.

No, just more optimistic.

I always loved these lyrics

But time is short
And the road is long
In the blinking of an eye
Ah that moment’s gone
And when it’s done
Win or lose
You always did your best
Cuz inside you knew

“That you are a Cougar through and through!”

A coworker of mine who is a coach just told me, “UH doesn’t have a fanbase.”

She also mentioned all of the NIL money we spent and did nothing with it. I disagree about did nothing but you can spend 20 million 30 million on NIL next year and you still won’t be guaranteed a championship.

Somewhat agree. We have one, it’s just small(ish). But the people who spend their time here (not you, YLC2) bashing our fans shouldn’t direct their ire at members of COOGFANS. Pretty sure, we are some of the most loyal fans. I’ve had conversations with other alum/fans not in this forum, and they mostly say that this forum is too argumentative for them; someone is always looking to disagree “they” say. I see it too; there is a quick willingness to disagree. I think that’s part of being a mostly anonymous forum in any walk of life. Goes with the territory.
All that to say, COOGFANS are the fanbase. Doesn’t accomplish much to drum on about our attendance woes in these pages. We all know the problem and we do what we can.

Clearly she is not an Aggie then.

I may be alone in this, but I seriously DON’T CARE if we ever win a natty, as long as we keep fielding excellent teams that win a lot of games. 30 per year and the sweet 16 is just fine with me. I still suffer because of 1968 and 1983 as well as last year, but I don’t get my tender little feelings all crumpled up because Sampson isn’t getting the final prize. I’m a fan, not a whiny bandwagon rider who thinks Sampson owes him something.

We’ve lost a lot of good posters here in the last few years for those reasons.

They did drive to Louisiana and bet on us Wednesday night. Must be mad we cost them money!

So far that is about the only positive thing from last night, lol

I’m 72, how do you think I feel?

I’m 37, and I’m prepared to dream about it for the rest of my life.

Well according to the internet, there have been 36 schools that have won at least one championship, with some winning multiple, and there are 365 D1 schools that compete in D1. So its not easy to win a championship, let alone to the final four, or heck, sweet sixteen.
