Imao

I feel like an idiot for believing that UH might actually do it this time.

Im 35, and it feels like I wont ever see my coogs win the big one in my lifetime, even if I get be 100 years old.

That’s unfortunately probably true. It’s true of every non-blue blood fanbase, though. In all likelihood, we may never even be as close to winning a title again as we were last year.

I’m 79 and I believe I will see us win the big one in my lifetime.

Yea, what a dream it was walking into the stands last year. It was such a fun experience even if we came up short, sigh.

Should have been at UH when I was, when people had more interest in our baseball program than our basketball program.

You are better than me.

The fact that this doesn’t date you really says a lot.

What a not fun evening. Currently I’m just really disappointed we will never get to see Sharp Shooter, Flemdawg and Cenac again. Gut punch. This was the worst possible match up for UH. It makes it even worse thinking about getting to play Iowa next if we won. We’d have beaten the brakes off Iowa.

Same! Always fun meeting a message board poster.

I really, really wish Sharp could have gone out on a higher note. (But then again, I wished that for J’Wan, too.)

Uzan is gone too, right?

I’m sad but still proud. It’s been 8-9 years now that we’ve been an elite program, and through out, every year, the team is different. You just gotta enjoy it while we have it. Leading up to the dance I rewatched a lot of our past tournament games, and was reminded how much I loved watching past players. I’ll just frame this season’s team right up on the wall with the rest of them. Go Coogs! We’re still a great program and a great school!

So you were there in the 1990’s too, eh?

It’s difficult to accept how quickly everything disappeared. Illinois led 27-26, but before UH scored again, the season was over.
