This is NOT Culture

Interesting thread on X starting with Kris Gardner and Scott & Holmes Pawcast regarding the UH WBB entering the transfer portal. 9 of 13 (who saw action) and 69% of the minutes.

This is not CULTURE. Time for a CHANGE!

On the Scott and Holman weds episode they mention ZERO UH WBB frosh or JUCO recruits.
It all portal & nothing so far.

Great facilities and WBB has never been so big.
Its booming.
It can be a massive $ maker & help draw students to UH.
Bad timing w 5 NCAAs in program history.
(2010-11, 2004-05, 2003-04, 1991-92, 1987-88)

Sad UH w a decade of no NCAA & 2 winning records under this HC.

Obviously they’re going to try to recruit hard in the transfer portal, but no true stars will come to UH with the current coaching staff. Elite players want to play for an elite coach.

for the level of success and instilled culture the MBB program has, it’s disheartening to see how poor the women have done. agree with everyone else that it’s time for a coaching change, especially a coach who will work to build that culture and recruiting network

Pezman says we don’t have the money to hire a WBB coach. #enjoytheride

When did you hear him say that? Also, how that make you feel as a HC or as a player or future player? You’re here because that’s what we can afford. Feels like there’s more to this story.

I heard it on a podcast loosely affiliated with our program. It’s there for the taking if one is willing to do some research.

First incoming transfer is Ashley Chevalier, a PG from Texas Tech (and Texas before that). Former top 100 national recruit, but stats in college have just been so-so. Did start for Tech a bit.

This IS a Disaster!

TCU women get Hailey Van Lith (from LSU) and Maddie Scherr (from Kentucky). Two pretty impressive pick-ups for them.
