The UH football program will not improve as long as Holgerson is the HC.
No coach with any other opportunity will take a job as an assistant to Holgerson. He would risk being fired in a year or two.
No recruit with any other opportunity will commit to UH. He would not know who his coaches would be in a year or two.
The decline will continue as long as Holgerson is the HC.
UH should hire a firm to select the next HC. The administration has not demonstrated the ability to make a good choice.

1st year he redshirted the whole team promising it would make our team stronger.
Last season he had Dell + Tune on offense and came nowhere close to winning a G5 CONFERENCE
His whole shtick is defer his success to the future while never taking responsible for the present

Tilman thought he was doing the right thing. He wanted a program head to be here 10+ years because he thought it right for the university. I think Saturday night he’ll look at the body of work and realize Dana wasn’t the right department head to get the job done. No hard feelings. We made a mistake. Its gonna be costly either way. I think the worst way to look at it is trying to keep recruits. The recruits we win the b12 with under the next coach are juniors in HS right now. Its either break it and start over or delay future success another 2 years. Get a high-quality search firm and let them cook.

I listened on iheart of five minutes of excuses. As you noted he has the nerve to tell he/they have a lot of work to do in the next eight weeks.
At the same time UCF has how many four and three stars coming in?
Does that mean DH and his coaching staff did not take the same recruiting approach? You betcha.
Last season DH told us he relied heavily on the portal for our BIG12 entry. How did it work out for us?

UCF is ranked way higher than U of H and other BIG12 programs are too. Why are we ranked 101 on the 247ranking?
How do you plan on improving from this historical low recruiting point?
Last season you had a hard time recruiting the portal. Why should this time around be any different?
How do you plan on competing with a defense that is giving up tons of points?
Are you planning on making coaching changes?

Since I believe our players will not really show up and thus get blown out the decision will be made,actually, by Dana.
No one can ignore a blow out loss and return Dana for 2024.

Yeah it’s a better statement if we show up , fill the stadium then complain if we want a new coach.
We need to start acting like a p4 program and show up no matter what then better things can happen with recruiting etc
