Gang,
I’m partial to the ones ranked #25, #196, and #233 (three of my six alma maters).
UH ranked #196.
AND GET THIS…
We BEAT eaTme, Techtonics, and SMwho.
@T-Moar , any comments?

For those interested, this is the methodology they used.
I barely trust TIME to cover the news, much less rank colleges, but these rankings feel weird to me. A couple things that stand out:
The way they operationalize their metrics is also just weird. Staff-student ratios? MOOC availability? Website traffic? I don’t know that they do a particularly good job of capturing what they’re aiming for, and it sort of feels like they just threw spaghetti at a wall until they came up with something that looked justifiable.
I do appreciate that they’ve relegated Bama to the third-best university in their own system, though.
Not surprised UAB is higher given that all the Biomedical Research is there.
Right?
Still though.
Like UH being ahead of aTm and Tech.
And of course….I REALLY DIG #25!!!
I have previously commented that regional smack talk is an American art form. T-Moar’s
unadorned comment ages like wine in your head. Trust me. Say it five times and you’ll be laughing out loud.
Smack talk aside, UAB being the best school in the UA system is a consensus opinion. Where Time differs from everyone else is that they put UAH second in line. As far as I’m aware, they’re the only ones that do that.
And of course, congratulations to CWRU. Always nice to be ahead of Carnegie Mellon.
