“You ask a million questions of yourself,” Herman said two days after the loss. “What could you have done better? I have pages upon pages of notes that I took within the 12 hours immediately after the loss of things that I could do better, that us as a staff need to do better, that our players need to do better.”

I like our schedule this year as we really don’t have a game like the UCONN game that could act as a letdown game. The Cincy game is our first conference game so we’ll be fired up about that. Navy on the road will be unique so we’ll be fired up about that. SMU is our “rival” so we’ll be fired up about that and Memphis is the last game of the year and we’ll be fired up about that. The rest are at home and we’ll be fired up to play at home. There really isn’t a dropoff or a “trap” game on our schedule unless you consider Texas State that.
