Here’s the ENTIRE quote, which I redacted.
Tom Penders … excellent coach … underappreciated here … truly did more with less.
Go Coogs!
Love CTP, played golf with him for 4 hours, what a hoot. Funniest thing he said about coach Cal who was at Memphis, “Coach Cal could not coach his way out of a paper bag”. He later that year signed a multimillion contract with UK. He was not a great judge of coaches but he knew basketball.
Coach is right. Uzan is talented and important for the team to succeed. He isn’t a failure yet. He will figure it out.
Love Coach Penders! Loved cheering for those teams. I remember when he got us back into the Dance for the first time in forever. What a fun season that was. Aubrey Coleman will always be one of my favorite Coogs.
I’ve posted this before but Coach Tom Penders was a champion of putting Coach Guy V. Lewis into the College Basketball Hall of Fame.
He isn’t really failure at all right now, he’s also just not Shead which is a pretty darn high bar.
Agreed. Some on this board are acting like he is so that is what my comment is addressing.
He stepped on my favorite beach volleyball player…
…stomped
Favorite men’s beach volleyball player?
Yes because the bias idiots who kept Guy out should have faced a firing squad.
Lewis built UH’s program literally out of nothing and it ticked so many jealous coaches, especially right here in Texas.
Touché
Imagine if Shead came back.
I was most impressed by the steerable laser vision. Had to have a SportsCenter camera to detect it though.
When U.S. Olympian beach ball player and former Houston Rocket Chase Budinger played at Arizona, Aubrey Coleman purposely stepped on Budinger when he was flat on his back.
Yes I got the reference. Mens was in italics b/c I figured his favorite beach volleyball player might come from the women’s bracket
Lmao! I think most people got it.
