i don’t think they’ll flirt with missing the tournament like the tar heels have been doing since roy left though for ku standards finishing outside the top 4 and losing before conference tourney semifinals is dreadful
This is funny because TA is longer than DW (looks taller, but probably about the same), and Williams really needs to play a guard position to have any professional hope. But TA has slightly better handles, and DW plays the back-down game like Barkley.
That lineup will give a lot of teams problems if they can cover for DW’s mediocre defense.

i was just thinking about the crazy culture shift in the sport the other day… The idea that we’d be shocked if a kid pick syracuse and georgetown over texas tech, baylor and houston shows what a drastic perception change that has really happened in the sport

Sampson is meeting with, and getting visits from, players that historically would have shunned UH. Talk about a sea change…
And all it took was playing championship quality basketball in the best conference for several years in a row in some of the nicest facilities.

Dude is all about himself and “getting his”….IMO, he doesn’t improve your team….especially on the defensive end.
He’s a weapon but he was also a Memphis type of player. That’s not a compliment.

He completely changes the perception for Kstate… if kstates 2 international players pan out then K State has an underrated team as is, but I think the national perception is that they’re going to be not great. if they get PJ Haggerty, we’re talking about another top 25 team in the league.

Too bad PJ ain’t going to NC State. They would of been a thorn in Duke all season and could of challenge for the conference.

Keep in mind Arizona was a top 3 team, and 1 seed with Kerr Kriisa starting…
All but the WVU team he played on were considered elite
They also had Mathurin, Terry, and Koloko.

Kentucky sucked last year ?
He won’t start at UC. I mean I think Houston Taking Pop Issacs is also questionable.
He’s a rotational piece who passes and shoots well. If you beat him on defense you run into some guys in the paint who can erase his mistakes
I don’t think UC brought him in to be a star
Lots of people thought the same of Uzan, it was met with a pretty meh reaction by other fans and media. I didn’t know what to think of it at the time. But until proven otherwise I’ll trust Sampson’s evaluation over anyone else.
