Transfer Portal Loophole?

Karson Gordon, from Houston’s Episcopal HS, has entered the transfer portal. He is currently at UCLA playing football and track (jumper.)

How is he in the transfer portal today? He is there as a track transfer, who also will still play football at whatever school he transfers to. He is an outstanding triple jumper, so it feels sort of legitimate.

Is this a fair loophole?

Yes, what would be worse is if they made him transfer mid-outdoor season because he also played football.

I have a feeling this one won’t be around for long.

My direct observational experience with this is when someone on track also played football, they no longer had a track scholarship, they could only get a football scholarship. That way, teams couldn’t get extra football scholarships buy putting them on other sports scholarships.

I remember this happened with Kevin Mason, a UH hurdler when he joined the football team as a WR back in the day.

Just saw this posted on Instagram with a number of people posting Tech pictures

Not too sure how scholarships are affected by a virtually unregulated NIL

Well if that’s the case, then it should be illegal. It would be different if he was coming home to play. :slightly_smiling_face:

I see no flaw in your thinking.

Is this guy any good slinging, or catching the pigskin?

Can’t find much about his football stats…

Tee Tee is desperate. Cody Campbell is throwing all the punches.
