The transfer portal and NIL are a dirty business. The FB team just lost Alton McCaskill to the transfer portal. We were blindsided. With us potentially recruiting someone not even in the portal, it just seems wrong
Good morning for everyone except that goofy and soft @DanielPlainview
Anyways… There’s only 18 more days for a player to enter the portal.
If someone will enter that coach has his eye on… Hopefully they do soon and not wait until the last weekend.
@pesik Arkansas making room for another transfer perhaps…
1.Devo Davis (could turn pro)
2.Jordan Walsh (could turn pro)
3.Trevon Brazile (returning from ACL injury)
4.Makhi Mitchell
5.Jalen Graham
6.Joseph Pinion
7.Baye Fall (incoming 6ft 10" freshmen)
8.Layden Blocker (incoming 6ft 2" freshmen)
9.Keyon Menifield (incoming transfer)
10.Tramon Mark (incoming transfer)
11.Khalif Battle (incoming transfer)
12.Jeremiah Davenport (incoming transfer)
13.El Ellis (incoming transfer)
2 ships open if Walsh and Davis go pro.
Not disagreeing at all. But I think it’s the players making the contact with programs they want to transfer to in some cases, not the reverse. Which for some reason is less shady to me.
If it’s the player contacting the school, that’s one thing. If it’s the school reaching out, that’s different. The earlier comment in the thread said we were reaching out to a player not in the portal.
We have all seen there are schools who will do whatever they can, inside the rules or outside, ethical or not, see Baylor (Briles), A$M (Sumlin), Whorns (Herman). If they’ll do that for coaches, imagine what they’ll do for players.
Sharp to Ole Miss
Must be nice
I’d rather have Mark playing the 3 (and completely understand why he didn’t want to stay and do that again). I like Dunn, but not sure he can defend the 3 like Mark can. For example, Arceneaux is a quicker athlete and he struggled in that role. It’s not an easy position to defend in our scheme.
Nice player. Bet he blossoms with a bigger role
So we missed out on the best center of all time?
Dang.

*Kenny Pohto (any ideas where hes going??)
*Daimion Collins (Kentucky)
*Efton Reid (Gonzaga)
*Francisco Caffaro (Virginia)
*Qudus Wahab (Georgetown)
*Makhel Mitchell (Arkansas)

Oklahoma doing some things…(McCollum, Soares, Hugley IV and now Darthard)
4th transfer for them.
Darthard shot 35.6% from 3pt last year. Made 69 threes.
Oklahoma did lose quite a few players to graduation/portal:
*Grant Sherfield
*Tanner Groves
*Jacob Groves
*Jalen Hill
*CJ Noland
*Bijan Cortes
*Joe Bamisile
They should return Otega Oweh and Milos Uzan. Also bring in freshmen Jacolb Cole and Kaden Cooper (both top 100 players in 2023 class on 247sports)
That’s funny because I thought Mark struggled a lot defending the 3 this year. It seemed like every time the other team got off a clean look from 3, it was because Mark was slow on the close out.

This account hasnt missed so far…
Could it be Julian Phillips from Tennessee?
I know there’s been a lot of speculation, but who do we think is leaving in order to make way for this possible new guy to come in?
