Transfer Portal News 2.0 - Progs ruined another one. Ban Progs ASAP

@pesik fair point. Mark could’ve certainly taken another jump next season.

But the guys you mentioned, Gray, Davis, Grimes and Sasser could all shoot the ball.

Look at Marks %s

And maybe the injury played a factor with his form, but hes not a great shooter, like the 4 you mentioned

39 of 119 from 3pt. 32.8% against a bad AAC this yr

With how much time Shead and Cryer will have the ball, Dunn is the much better fit.

Quentin didn’t have a great sophomore yr at UH.

But his freshmen yr at KU (54 of 159) from 3pt. 34%. He showed potential as a shooter

Marcus his sophomore yr, shot 33.5% not great. But made (78) threes. Showed potential as a shooter

Could Mark make 50 threes in a season? Thats just not his game

tramon is 32% from 3… sasser was 33% before his breakout year… grimes was 32% from 3 the year before his break out year. gray was 34%
and i dont want to comp percentages because they are different kind of players … i was more speaking that they evolved into what was needed …

corey literally ONLY shot catch and shoot 3s as a junior…and we questioned if we had a single player who could create his own shot (armoni, corey and galen)… many were hoping dejon would userp one of the starts (who was a top 60 transfer coming in)…and corey evolved in a very good off the dribble treat…

i dont think tramon would become a top tier shooter, but into the type of scorer we needed to put up points (in whatever form)… and it might have been in an iso way like gray

Maybe lower expectations but am I the only one who was pleased with how amazing I whot the ball this season. I know he was not a sniper it did like his progression. Saying that, I am looking forward to Dunn in this lineup. I think his defense and rebounding will get better in our orogram.

disagree…dunn needs the ball more than mark to be effective and cryer doesnt need the ball as much. that the whole reason he transfer he was elite offball and want to show he as some onball strengths

dunn entire notable thing is driving and getting to the ft line… mark is atleast a lob threat and catch and shoot midrange guy… dunn can work off ball as seen when he played with battle, but his impact drastically reduced.

We can agree to disagree.

what are duns offball strengths? but i guess we can disagree

He was much more effective vs us as a secondary scorer. When he was the primary guy we eliminated him but he had some success without us having the guy to shut him down.

P. Will get back to you later. Lol

Another chance at getting Warren Washington.

Transferred from Nevada to Arizona St last yr

His handles and play making were shaky for the most part. Was that a system problem, maybe… Which makes your point about Dunn being better under CKS offensive system valid. It was going to be very hard imo to have two mid shooters in Shead & Mark as your top 2-3 scorers next season to win consistently in the Big 12. Offense would of gone thru a lot of cold spells especially without any true down low post scorer.

Any news on where Mylik Wilson might end up?

nothing about him yet

good news is that i think we will find out somewaht soon…
deadline to enter the portal is in 2 weeks … we arent actively recruiting anyone… if in 2 weeks no “potentials” enter the portal. im going to assume we are done

Joe Girard, former Syracuse guard, down to 2. Clemson & LSU

Simas Lukosius, transfer from Butler, I hear is deciding between BYU, Cincinnati and Oklahoma St

I know there are rumors that we’re pursuing someone that isn’t in the portal yet, but at this point, what is stopping that player from entering the portal? Dominos are starting to fall, and every day that goes by the mystery player loses leverage and opportunity.
