i checked his actually Ig post about the decommit and i dont think its an option anymore tho… whoever it is we have decided on is almost certainly a done deal, its just about waiting for something (maybe the draft evlautions)… from his IG he doesnt know where he is going and still says texas is one of his top options, he just wants to keep his options open… that seems to undecided to be our guy

I would prefer an older guy if either one will be gone in a year. But I have heard from UT fans that there’s a rumor of him going to the G-League Ignite.
Not saying it’s going to happen… But if Ron Holland wanted to come to UH im sure our coaching staff would make room for him.
Remembered when Jarace Walker reached out to our coaching staff last year that he was interested. Just because he was a fan of coach Kelvin Sampson coaching.
Holland is talented. But this team could use more experience absolutely

And Francis based on minutes played, is not that experienced.
Holland would be a great pickup. If not him I would love for the Coogs to go after Aziz Bandaogo, the 7-footer at Utah Valley. He gets better and better every year. Averaged 11.5 ppg, 10.4 boards, and almost 3 blocks a game while shooting over 33% from beyond the arc. High energy guy that plays hard on both ends of the court.
Definitely need that veteran experience for our front court.
I was rewatching the 2022 season and it is surprising the difference in the way we played. Much more composed and efficient. Not as many silly mistakes. Those drove me mad this season.
Not saying or trying to start a conversation on 2022 vs 2023. Both were good teams and had their strengths and weaknesses.
We’re talking about a potential #1 draft pick on next year’s draft lol. Stop capping lol.
I would argue that I’d rather have Kevin Cross Jr on the team next year over Holland. But I don’t want to get into it.
