Chaney was the backup and Francis was the Uber talented development project and that didn’t change.
What changed was the fantastic stretch Francis had forcing his way in the court.
He could have been force-fed through some of his struggles but CKS typically will go back to the vet presence. My educated guess is we will see a lot more of the the talent he displayed during the good stretch this season.
but its relevant, it wild to pretend it isnt… the quote, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results
the biggest part of this is you probably agree, but just trying to make a “this is what we have lets just accept it post”
I like the roster, and i believe Francis will continue to improve. I’m excited to see what the freshman can do
I am comfortable with Francis and counting on his continued development. I was very comfortable with how he played last season considering his youth and the flashes he showed. He teased us with something he wasn’t quite ready for and had us fans wanting more.He is right on schedule for this season.
OK, but like can we know the people on @Joprior23 list now? I just need to know who the staff was going after. I like to keep a tab on the history of what Sampson is going after.
We ALLLLLLLLL know Francis COUUUUULLLD be an All-American IFFFFFFFF he puts his freakishly amazing tools together…
Okay…
Back to our fave 4 guard line-ups for next season…
Mine:
Shead
Cryer
Sharp
Arceneaux
Roberts
Arkansas on every list lol
Plot twist… Who will hold Nelson when we play Baylor?
Arceneaux…?
arcenueax for the most part, maybe jwan…
nelson main skills is driving, his percentages really drop if you make him shoot of the dribble… so just someone who is big enough not to be posted up, and quick feet enough not to be blown bye off the dribble… terrance has the highest chance to shut him down…since he isnt a great shooter, jwan can probably do it too since he can give him some space to shoot…
if nelson becomes a really good shooter in the offseason its terrance or no one…
him going to baylor actually isnt a bad move for us… baylor 5 doesnt score, so we dont need to worry about a 5 getting iso with a nelson pairing
Shead
Is this what he HAS to work on next season to move into the first round… Hitting shots off the dribble and defense?
He don’t want none…!
yes, thats his glaring weakness, not just 1st round but lottery…
his off the dribble shooting stats are abysmal…his skills at his size would have gotten him drafted even with less than great defense… but the off the dribble shooting was really bad…
and just a meh stationary shooter…
the thought was he is a dominant iso- driver especially at his size, in what could be longer drives… but he isnt nba good enough to be to be getting iso’s… no nba team is going to be iso’ing for him… he has to build up the skills of secondary player that will likely be his role in the nba… shooting/off ball stuff
his team defense and finishing with his left hand are also big flaws but in the aspect of the nba those are things that can be overlooked for the draft
Yes you do.
Go BIG12 Coogs !
he’s going to catch a fly
I heard Jordan Brown from Louisiana may enter the portal today. Low post scorer not a stretch 4. Grad transfer would be immediately eligible. One year of eligibility remaining.
would be an absolute insane dream… i was hoping he’d end the portal last year… extremely skilled low post scorer, former 5 star
we have no shot as everyone in the nation who wants a center will throw everything at him as he will be the ONLY notable center in the portal… and multiple elite teams need a center
