I laughed…
He has coached a lot since he left us and has probably improved as well. I wish him well; every man deserves a chance to make a living.
I’ve been blocked by him on Twitter for years. Still don’t know what I said to him.
Why laugh? He has a lot of ties in the Valley and in the Hill Country regions. He could do really well there.
Keep in mind that he recruited Farrow, Ward, Greenberry and several key players on that Peach Bowl team.
Hope he hires a back stapping assistant who makes his life miserable. Karma baby!
Did you coach under him at one point?
Really? Your laughing at another school’s coaching hire and we have this?
Holgorsen will earn $4.2 million in 2022 as part of the $26.7 million agreement, with annual increases of $100,000 and a staff budget increase to $5.5 million in 2022. “We’re excited about where we are and the direction we’re headed,” said athletic director Chris Pezman in a statement.Mar 31, 2022.
No, what he did here
Jamie Christian recruited Greenberry. Not sure about the others.
As bad as Dana is, Travis bush is much worse
Based on?
Surprising amount of love for Travis Bush seeing how his offense led to the UTSA debacle
He was a terrible OC but a good recruiter.
Lol puhleeze….
Was he a Levine pick? Many on this board are always trying to give Herman’s success to Levine. Seems your trying to give Levine’s failures to Bush?
If you judge coaching hires by their prior team’s reaction, UTRGV should be worried.
I give him a pass on 2012 as Nesbitt resigned after the first game and the role was thrust upon an unprepared Bush. But 2014 is totally on him.
I don’t think that’s really what’s going on here. Levine’s failures were his own, including hiring Travis Bush. UH lost to UTSA in 2014 due in large part to a failure on the part of the coaching staff, which Levine was in charge of and Bush was a major part of. It doesn’t absolve Levine to say that Bush cocked that one up – if anything, it’s an indictment of the Head Coach.
This biggest problem with 2013 and 2014 was that Ward outplayed O’Korn in practice but was mostly at receiver in the latter year. Speaks volumes of Ward’s talent of being able to still beat out O’Korn despite only going to QB meetings while O’Korn ran the offense with the 1s.
The entire locker room wanted Ward at qb over O’Korn. Had Levine not waited until the UCF game to this, he and Bush MAY still be coaching here now.
you have time to build a problem from scratch and this is the hire?
