Phi Slamma Jamma reuinion. What I want to know, is will any of the UH guys done playing be there? What are the rules on that? Do they have to be graduated?
I remember they ahd Kolb and Keenum there once shortly after they finished playing.
Has anybody ever attended? Prices seem a bit high.
They have to graduate or announce for the draft if an underclassman. I believe ERob signed last year.
Too bad Benny Anders will still be absent, but that is what he chose and I can support that.
Clarification; players don’t have to graduate, but they can’t have any eligibility left or declare for the draft.
For example, Chance Allen can sign right now because his eligibility is up even though he is still working towards his degree.
Former players scheduled to sign autographs include Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler, Alvin Franklin, Lynden Rose, Larry Micheaux, Greg Anderson, Eric Davis, Rickie Winslow, Michael Young, Reid Gettys, Renaldo Thomas and Eric Dickens.
Franklin, Rose, Micheaux, Drexler, Anderson, Olajuwon, Davis and Winslow are scheduled to appear on Saturday at scattered times from midmorning until late afternoon, and Young, Gettys, Thomas and Dickens will sign on Sunday afternoon.
Keenum has been added to the show as well.
I go at least once a year. I went Friday night. They do 2 shows a year. It’s a great show if you’re into collecting cards, autos, etc. Not alot of Coog stuff. This year I saw a Ayers signed jersey, mini helmet, Olujawon, Hayes, Drexler signed jerseys. Occasionally something unique pops up but not so this year. Have a piece I want to get signed by Ward but couldn’t make it today.
I would love to have the money back I spent on these kind of sports collectibles over the years. Could easily afford a suite at TDECU.
I got UH pennants from the 82 and 83 Final Fours at a tri star show years ago.
