Jeff, I’m interested in and excited about this book! My brother (who is a pastor in Corpus Christi) also wrote and self published a book as well on Amazon a couple of years ago as well. It has done well for him, and I wish you similar success! Can you tell us a little bit about your theological background, etc. and where your faith, and inspiration to write this book comes from? Thanks a lot!

I’m usually not in favor of violating the wall of separation between church and college sports, because from my experience it’s usually all about a&m, but in this case I’ll allow it.

Shudder thinking about all the aggie v horns sermons to be delivered this coming Sunday. Either how good ol varsity was victorious like a young David or how they were smitten by the refs.

Lifelong Southern Baptist, felt the call to ministry a few months after graduating from UH (and getting married). Spent three years in seminary and have been pastoring ever since (28 years). My inspiration for this was seeing a “devotionals for Aggie fans” book at Sam’s Restaurant in Fairfield and thinking, “Someone should write one of these for us Cougar fans.”

I know what you mean. Not a huge fan of preachers bringing that stuff into the pulpit myself. Although i must admit that when I gesture “three” as in “point number three,” it’s with a Cougar paw. Subtle propaganda.
