Should we place a wager on it? Haha jkjk. Cannot wait for football season
Based on some AI prompts on his being underage and use of proxies while a Bearcat, the following are possible charges he could face in Ohio: Identity Fraud, Tampering with Records, Prohibited Sports Gaming Participant, Attempting to Gamble Underage, Illegal Gambling. The first two are felonies, the last three are usually misdemeanors but can elevate to felonies depending on circumstances.
His proxies can be charged with Complicity, basically charged with the same offenses.
Hunter Dekkers had similar offenses, albeit less bets (~300) and lower total value (~$3,000) in 2023 at Iowa State. Charged with a felony in Iowa, plead down to a misdemeanor and lost NCAA eligibility.
If it were legal in Texas I would be willing to bet
some sort of criminal charges are forthcoming given the duration and volume of activity.
Almost nothing.
Still, doesnât matter.
The Judge could have found what Sorsbyâs team presented to be unconvincing and insufficient, and ruled against him.
Again, sucks for all of college football except Tech and Sorsby that he didnât.
It doesnât matter what facts the judge was presented with when leveling criticism against him for the decision he made based on the facts?
UmmmmâŠOK

Is he able to practice with the team during the two game suspension? I assume he will.
Hallelujah, he has been cured of addiction for good!
Thatâs the part Iâm worried about. This opens up the most disgusting can of worms in college sports.
Texas tech university should be ashamed of themselves.
As the fact FINDER (emphasis added), he could have found that the facts were contrary to what Techâs team presented, and in doing so, ruled that Techâs expert and other evidence werenât convincing enough, and that the evidence presented to the contrary was weightier and more convincing. It was within his discretion.
Again. Sucks for college football except for Tech and Sorsby that he didnât.
According to what Iâve seen, he can practice but cannot participate in âgame day activitiesâ during the suspension.
About as many times as they did Morton last yearâŠ![]()
I wish nothing but the worst to him, his current, and future family. I am sure he will be raising a litter of lawbreakers and rules violators.
There is going to be a lot of Big 12 hate directed at TT this coming year, especially if they have a great record and a shot at the playoffs. This could be fun to watch.
Big 12 athletic directors are having serious conversations about boycotting games against Tortilla Tech after the Brendan Sorsby ruling, per Yahooâs Ross Dellenger
Assuming Sorsby plays this season, his first game back is against UH. It would not surprise me if Texas Tech starts at QB Will Hammond, assuming he has recovered, or Kirk Francis, penciled in as starter if Hammond is still recovering. Especially, if either of these QBs are having good seasons. I would be surprised if Coach McGuire starts Sorsby. I do expect Sorsby to get some playing time against UH.
Hammond will reportedly be cleared to play when the season opens.
Disgust at the ruling goes beyond the B12.
Lol, of course heâd play for Houston and a majority of fans would absolutely be there for it.
lol
One of the main complainers is from, checks notes the Kansas State ADâŠ
âŠwho we donât even play this coming season.
Should be fun on 6/10 at the Joey McGuire TD Club Luncheon
