The first two are felonies, the last three are usually misdemeanors but can elevate to felonies depending on circumstances.
His proxies can be charged with Complicity, basically charged with the same offenses.
Hunter Dekkers had similar offenses, albeit less bets (~300) and lower total value (~$3,000) in 2023 at Iowa State. Charged with a felony in Iowa, plead down to a misdemeanor and lost NCAA eligibility.
If it were legal in Texas I would be willing to bet 
some sort of criminal charges are forthcoming given the duration and volume of activity.

The Judge could have found what Sorsbyâs team presented to be unconvincing and insufficient, and ruled against him.
Again, sucks for all of college football except Tech and Sorsby that he didnât.

As the fact FINDER (emphasis added), he could have found that the facts were contrary to what Techâs team presented, and in doing so, ruled that Techâs expert and other evidence werenât convincing enough, and that the evidence presented to the contrary was weightier and more convincing. It was within his discretion.

I wish nothing but the worst to him, his current, and future family. I am sure he will be raising a litter of lawbreakers and rules violators.
There is going to be a lot of Big 12 hate directed at TT this coming year, especially if they have a great record and a shot at the playoffs. This could be fun to watch.

Assuming Sorsby plays this season, his first game back is against UH. It would not surprise me if Texas Tech starts at QB Will Hammond, assuming he has recovered, or Kirk Francis, penciled in as starter if Hammond is still recovering. Especially, if either of these QBs are having good seasons. I would be surprised if Coach McGuire starts Sorsby. I do expect Sorsby to get some playing time against UH.
Hammond will reportedly be cleared to play when the season opens.
Disgust at the ruling goes beyond the B12.
