TT QB Brendan Sorsby Gambling Issues

Uh, if you haven’t noticed…

Coogfans are 100% on the side of “ban Sorsby.” It ain’t just UT, Michigan, Ohio State, etc.

It’s just about anyone that isn’t a Tech fan.

How can you bet on sports for years even your own team and be allowed to play college sports?

Trying to justify it is like other people drive home drunk from the bar so why can’t I? Get out of here with that TT billionaire tumbleweed bs.

haha, ok Ryon.

My comment was in reference to the “blue blood” response on X/twitter, but OK, good to know how the coogs stand.

And he made the right decision based on what was presented.

If you look through the order, almost all of the conditions for the injunction reference the expert’s (his clinical counselor) report. Since the NCAA didn’t counter that report with their own expert, the judge ruled on the evidence he was provided.

I also find all of the apocalyptic reactions amusing.

Not justifying it at all. Like I said previously – I didn’t think he’d ever play a down for us. I still somewhat expect he won’t, but I guess we’ll see.

That said, the virtue signaling (yes, that’s exactly what is happening) is rich from certain programs. One evil doesn’t beget another, but seeing the differences in responses is hilarious.

Thank you.

That’s all I’m trying to say – I think the NCAA fumbled this case.

Does this signal that every college player now has the right to bet on their team or any team while they continue to play college ball without repercussions?

Yep.

Might be time to bring back the Air Raid and have the Coogs bet the over on themselves

Sorsby is not in the clear on criminal charges. At least three state (Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky) gaming commissions are still investigating. At a minimum his admissions are Class B misdemeanors. Depending on specific activities he may have done while in a state, could be felonies. My guess is the latter is unlikely, but also why he is not currently charged as investigations are ongoing. His proxies (friends and family) are also not in the clear.

He isn’t allowed to play the first two games, so his first game will be against us at Home. Wow.

Oh yea. We get to roll that joker up for 10 sacks and 4 ints.

When people say, the NCAA is worthless, the teams with money are the reason why.

Say they want to be governed by rules until the rules apply to them in a way they don’t like.

That’s hardly a consequence, and Sorsby is too rich for those kind of consequences anyway

From the hoa, politicians, to jobs I’ve worked at. It’s always, rules for thee not me. Folks in power never like rules applied to them.

The Judge could have, within his discretion as the fact finder, disregarded or given less weight to any expert opinion, and, as the sole evaluator of the evidence, disregarded or given less weight to any other pro-Sorsby evidence presented, in making his ruling.

Sucks that he didn’t.

How much do you know about what was actually presented?

Ahh got ya, whether he plays or not im excited for this game
