This is what is done all the time and that’s how our country’s leaders operate and how corporations influence policy to make laws to benefit their corporate greed. All these jokers are sold out. It’s a damn shame.

I don’t disagree with your point but there is a distinction between an apparent quid pro quo and campaign donations for favorable votes down the line. The former is usually illegal.

It is not the responsibility of the NFL to rehabilitate or prepare non members for possibly being drafted. I suspect the commissioner does not really want a guy with his baggage in the league.

The New York Times profile of Fertitta asked him if he would ever run for office. The profile was while Fertitta was on his Super Yaght hobnobbing with Italian and Sicilian weatlhy. Fertitta said he has no desire to run for any elected office and added "“Because there’s no job that I could hold and I could be on this boat,”
