Flipped to the Indiana game for a second, it was an overhead shot. Upper corners were empty.

I mean, inflation is kinda hittin’ hard right now.
I’m a single, able-bodied dude with no dependents & a decent job/salary, and now I’m at the point where even I’m looking at prices (groceries, bills, drinks at the bar, etc) trying to see what changed bc I find myself paying more for stuff.

That is the dirtiest secret that espn wants to either put under the rug or make us as an example.
The presentation is crafted for TV because the commercials aren’t seen by the small number of people in a stadium. Bama vs Georgia would draw millions of viewers if it was played in a huge TV studio with a handful of spectators. The schools who don’t draw lose stadium revenues, but not a dime of TV revenues.

To be fair, halftime isn’t the best gauge.
Show us the stands about halfway through the first quarter.
That said, we would LOVE to be able to “announce” 43K for a home game.
Hasn’t happened this season. Just sayin’! Three games at least where less than 30K was announced.
