U.S. green lights Polish MIG shipments to Ukraine

And this is why we can’t just “give” Ukraine airplanes. Do you know the logistics of keeping a combat plane in the air? It was just silly rhetoric.

Latest now is we are giving them 2 Patriot Antimissle
defense systems. Probably better solution then MiG planes which could be viewed as an offensive weapon.
These are defensive systems only, but the setup and operation will have to involve US personnel or can it be
done via zoom meetings ? And what are consequences if Russia should get their hands on this
anti missile defensive system.

Patriots are pretty old, I’d be surprised if Russia wasn’t already well aware of it’s capabilities.

Yeah, it’s old, and new, and has been deployed in lots of locations, but I would bet money todays version is much much more sophisticated then the 1982 version 1.0. That’s the risk factor.

Patriot stands for “Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept of Target” – is designed to counter and destroy incoming short-range ballistic missiles, advanced aircraft and cruise missiles.

The battery includes missiles and launching stations, a radar set that detects and tracks targets, and an engagement control station, according to the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance.

A 2019 Pentagon missile defense review reported that eight battalions with 33 batteries were stationed in the United States while seven battalions with 27 batteries were stationed overseas. More than a dozen US allies, including Germany, Japan, and Israel, have also purchased the US missile defense system.
