It’s not too late to start up a women’s wrestling team. NCAA just sponsored the sport this year. We could be the first D1 women’s wrestling program in Texas.
That would do absolutely NOTHING for me!
The two sports I’ve always wanted to see added were either a) men’s wrestling, AND b) most importantly, women’s gymnastics.
If we can’t add women’s gymnastics, then we should add women’s lacrosse. Wouldn’t need to add much infrastructure. Could easily use the soccer field for the same purpose.
A perfect scenario for me would be to add women’s gymnastics and 
men’s ice hockey. Mr. Fertitta
could bring an NHL team to Houston and build practice facilities/5000 seat arena on the UH campus that we could play in. That is my wish, in a perfect world.
Now THAT would be KEWL!!!
I like the enthusiasm, but where is this money coming from?
And don’t say Tilman. That can’t be the answer for everything WE want.
Well, it’s hard for me to imagine that Texas State is swimming in money. Somehow they came up with the dough to start up a new team that we couldn’t.
All you have to do is pay attention to our leaders talking about our finances, or anyone in the know in the department. Pretty simple.
Wishcasting is fine. The reality is different for now.

It’s easy, if you try.
Why do we want to add new sports? It’s hard to pay for the ones we have.
He suffers from too much imagination.
Yet Texas State has the money?
Never thought of them as richer.
Yes.
Is Texas State a richer school?
Southwest Texas can piss away money all they want. Doesn’t mean we should emulate them.
Given the volume of women’s gymnastics talent in this state, seems like a huge miss out.
I don’t disagree, but you’ll be waiting a long time for someone else to get this up and running.
