UH 2024 Enrollment, 52,516?

I have not seen anything official on the UH 2024 enrollment, but can someone verify it?

If this is true, we know it’s due to UH Basketball success and Big 12 invite.

Don’t know if this is sustainable

Well not sustainable, but is it true for this semester? One step at a time.

Okay well interesting, but we need something from the University as confirmation.

Based on what I read on the UH subreddit. I believe it. The students on there were saying how packed campus felt (granted the first few weeks always feel pretty packed) but they said how this particular year it feels more packed than ever

I see a new excuse not to come to the football games. “Its too crowded.”

Transfer GPA needs to be 3.0.

More buildings, more on-line opportunities and more housing options equals more students.
No doubt the Big 12 has elevated our stature.

Pretty sure there was a thread about this already. Too lazy to look for it tho.

There is a thread about the largest freshmen class.

I wish that they all liked college football.

The University of Houston has made a giant leap — from No. 91 to No. 70 — in the list of the 2024 Top Public Universities by U.S. News & World Report.

We are getting 10% of the students to come for football, way more than the % of alumni.

I think that’s where Pez failed. How do you get more alums to come to the game? That’s for the new AD to figure out now.

This has more to do with UH’s improved Academic ranking than UH Basketball or the Big 12.

Was Pez supposed to come to your house and hold your hand?

Who else is supposed to be in charge of getting butts in seats?

I remember CKS saying they need to figure out how to get butts in seats at the football games. That was right before Pez got the axe.

Obviously, people are not going to show up on their own or this would not be an issue.

  • Improved academics.
  • Population growth, much through migration from HCOL places.
  • We may see continued growth as UT recently announced they will decrease their automatic acceptance from student in the Top 10% of their class to just the Top 5%. We should be trying to bring in a lot of those kids that are in that 6-10% percentile range that are no longer automaticicslly accepted to UT.
