That’s big time and shows how hard Fritz works at recruiting. He was after him at Tulane, but I am sure the kid wanted to play P4 with all those offers. It shows he really liked Fritz and that coach doesn’t mind going after big fish even though Tulane had almost no shot at him.

Donovan Smith is very capable of beating out those young and inexperienced potential transfer quarterbacks next year so put some respect on his name. If those other dudes were so ready to play high level college ball then they wouldn’t be buried on the depth chart at USC and Oregon. I think USC is bringing in Will Howard from KSU so it’s not like Nelson lost his spot to Tom Brady or something. And then up in Oregon didn’t they just bring in Dante Moore from UCLA who was in the same class as Novosad? Obviously Oregon thought Moore was the better quarterback. Don’t get me wrong these guys would be huge pick ups but I wouldn’t crown them when they get here just because they were high school stars.

As I said elsewhere, the notion that a redshirt freshman with little game experience is going to come in and beat out a returning Senior QB is pretty far fetched.
Getting him would be great…but it’d be a miracle if he wasn’t 2nd string in his first year here.

Anyone know if Xavier Stillman was expected to sign today with the Coogs? I know he didn’t commit until last night and then reported a new offer today.
With all due respect, every UH coach that has been hired has said they would recruit Texas as there #1 priority. The difference, maybe:
- CWF will recruit the entire state. Most coaches refer to the Houston area. It baffles me why more effort hasn’t be made in the DFW area. CWF proved that with effort, UH has a chance to change some minds.
- I’m waiting for the “building a wall around Houston” comment. I always thought that was funny and ridiculous at the same time.

I think we’re gonna lose him. If you go to all of the recent comments under his UH commitment tweet, he’s been absent. However, he’s continuously liking the tweets people add on his TTU offer tweet. He seems to be spending more time over there. Hope I’m overthinking it.
I heard he is still a UH lean but Tenn coming with a hail mary and Coach Prime is working his angle.

4 star on rivals. Schools and their followers tend to go off the highest-rated recruiting service.

Not sure how he went down to 3 Star. When I heard UH was after him late last week, he was 4 Star. Even in JD- Houston Chronicle article that he released late last night he had him as 4 Star. Who knows !!
