How Tank Dell was recruited:

I saw this too lol

Love seeing Tank get the recognition he deserves.

Dana was a terrible coach, but this is not true. He averaged the 64th ranked class over five years which puts him in the top half for talent based on 247.

What is CWF’s contract? Is it high in comparison with other P4 coaches?

Fritz signed a five-year deal that will pay $4.5 million annually.

The salary pool for this season (minus the one remaining hire) is slightly more than the $3.425 million paid to assistant coaches during the 2023 season.

We ‘ride or die’ with Tilman’s high paying “lifer” coach strategy because he was so hurt by what Herman did to him.

With the money we are giving Fritz and staff, that game last week was a bigger bank robbery than anything Dana did.

Find a D#$% way to win the game on your schedule.

THIS job, for the money UH is paying you. CANNOT afford a rebuild especially after we just fired a forever “rebuild” coach

Fritz’s salary is 35th of the 130 FBS coaches. It’s a new salary and a whole lot of coaches are up for renewal within the next year or two. Contracts are usually based on the current rates of new coaches. I don’t think it’s exorbitant in comparison to other recently hired P4 coaches.

Give Him a couple of years and you will be very proud to have him as our HC; I fully believe that. Will he have a team as good as teams with a $20,000,000.00 NIL bag like Ohio State? I doubt it.

There’s an old saying about you get what you pay for; I have a different take. You don’t always get what you pay for, but you very rarely get more than you pay for. Right now, with our NIL bag, CWF is getting a whole lot more from high school recruits.

As for the portal, I just don’t know. People get excited when we get a transfer from a powerhouse P4 school, but I wonder why they are moving down. I totally understand why kids would want to move up from a G5 to a P4, so I get more hopeful of those kids. I also get hopeful for local guys who just want to come back home. To me, the portal is more of a pain than a gain. It seems we are losing our better guys to the portal and not getting equal returns from the portal.

Moving down. Jesus Christ. :person_facepalming: Who is going to tell raysis Mike we’re a P4 school now.

But UH is clearly not a “power house P4 school”

Both Rice and Bryant are listed at 6-2 1/2? Rice definitely looks taller. Carlisle looks close to 6 feet?

Kid looks like he could give the those d-lineman a run for their money if it came down to it.

Looks like a very physical Qb

Better days ahead guys. I was so impressed with these future Coogs.
I have praised Carlisle many times but that No 59 for Fulshear is the real deal. He will be blocking for Austin one and I love Mr Bryant’s demeanor
He will fill out at UH but he just has intangibles you can’t coach. He plays like a junk yard dog and ain’t afraid to seek out someone to destroy.

That’s exactly the type of linemen needed to open up holes for the RBs and QB. Hopefully we can snag a few more and go from there. I just wish we had a few for next year.

Wow, I’m glad you posted. I follow Blake and that tweet never showed up on my timeline. Went to his page and it’s not there either. Weird.

Yep same here. I checked his page but it’s not there
