The home and aways are disappointing. Baylor and Cincy are going to be mid. KU or the Clones replacing one of them would have made more tv money and helped the league.
WIth how it is shaking out i expect all our big road games to be on the weekend, and all our big home matches to be on Tuesdays at 6pm.
Baylor also has Arizona and Arizona State at Home Only. Iād expect those games to be paired with their games against us.
I would love an explanation of why one of BYU, ISU or KU arenāt playing here.
Really hope Kelvin comes through with that one big home conference game⦠weāre spoiled with our team but just from an entertainment perspective, right now I feel like we got totally hosed by the conference.
BYU and ISU played only here last year. So likely just balancing that. Not getting Kansas at home sucks but itāll likely balance out next year. Similarly we had Arizona/ASU on the road only last year and saw that reversed.
At least we avoided road only games with Baylor, Tech, and Cincy.
Must be getting good money from the neutral games?
Based on last year the other approach could have been WV on the road and Kansas at home.
I would prefer Tech and Zona on Big Monday. Only game on main ESPN and usually a 8pm tipoff. Plenty of time to make it to FC and have a packed house.
I mean sure but itāll flip back next year so is what it is.
There 18 conference games and split 9/9
We should play 2 of the 3 Texas schools home/home every season.
We are going to alternate home games for all conference teams so not sure what the complaint is.
Some teams will rise while others will fall which is out of our hands.
Who is the āSamsonā fellow you speak of?
The only thing I know for sure is that no matter what the schedule is 80% of the fans are going to bi-tch for a myriad of reasons.
Very spoiled fan base.
I just know I wanna talk to him!
Home schedule looks very manageable. Hopefully we run the table at home and can afford to drop a few on the road because the away schedule is going to be brutal. Playing at BYU, Tech, Iowa State and Kansas in itself will be dogfights and I expect road games at places like Cincinnati that may be good this year will be tricky. Weāll be fine. The bright spot is not having to make the journey out to Arizona and Arizona State this year. Nor do we have to go to WVU or UCF. Looks better from a travel standpoint with the exception of the BYU and Utah games that I imagine will be paired together
I think the assumption is we are winning all of our games but we would like to beat the big dogs in our house. In particular to allow season ticket holders nice things like seeing the possible NBA draft #s 1 and 2 players play in person.
We are good enough that we dont need to analyze the games anymore by how tough they are going to be because we are just better than everyone else.
Itās June and Iād buy tickets to a game tonight just to see our returners and our highly touted freshman play each other in a scrimmage. Our program deserves prime time matchups at home but at the end of the day whether our team is blowing out Nobody U 100 to 35 or beating a Top 25 opponent, our fans are in for a treat. Canāt wait.
AJ Dybantsa vs Chris Cenac.
Not at Fertita Center.
The best statistical opponent to come to Fertita Center was Alabama 2022-23 team. They ended up being a 1 seed. Great game. Have watched it many times on replay.
This BYU team could be that good. 1-2 seed type team. Oh well, weāll just have to beat them in Provo
I donāt really see how TT, BU and Cincinnati is hunting matchups.
Other than not getting the upper hand on Kansas I donāt see anything to argue about with the conference schedule.
We still have three OOC games to complete it.
Hey, phuc Mumphish. Just reminding everyone.
