These freshmen are different. Think Jarace Walker. December of his freshmen year at #2 Virginia Jarace had a hell of a game. Growing pains, yes. But, they know what they are getting into playing for Sampson.
Choking is me 4 putting on the 17th hole 40 years ago. 1 up in the third flight finals of the club championship. Thatās what choking is. Still so vivid.

Winning the national championship isnāt the expectation. Goal, yes but no program has ever been good enough to have that as an expectation. In fact setting that as an expectation for your program is actually detrimental to your success. Just ask UCLA.

if you ask me the best we can realistically hope for is 31-3 entering selection sunday tho those are conflicting statements when you consider itās likely weāll be favored in all of our games next year lol

Definitely shouldāve been a neutral site game between UH and Duke this seasonā¦ they knocked us out 2 years ago and we knocked them out last seasonā¦ script writes itselfā¦

There are so many factors that go into winning games it is absolutely foolish to think just because some outsiders projected a team to win that one team is underachieving or āchokingā because perceived out one doesnāt happen.
Shots are made and shots are missed. The word choking in most cases is a silly overused word.
You know what happened at the end, Florida played great defense and when it became a one possession game guys had to create and make plays that wasnāt the strength of their games.

What is your definition of choking lol?
We didnāt score on our last 4 possessions in pretty bad fashionā¦ I think that qualified as a choke.
I love the Coogs but with our offensive efficiency last season we shouldāve had at least 4 points out of those possessions.

I mean Iād use Duke as a more positive example for us, and it was definitely a bigger choke than Florida.
But RW is right on that itās completely overused, typically by team fans who feel a pressing need to discount an opponent playing better than them. Which in fact happens from time to time. But yes the last possessions where it looked like we fell apart, Iād accept it as an example of a choke.
Yeahā¦ it really sucked no matter how you clasify itā¦
