UH 25/26 Schedule Discussion

Just bought a couple, pricing not bad. Looks like section 114 is the best option right now. Glad it’s on a Sunday and will be less construction/traffic issues.

You can buy tickets in any section if you go directly through the website instead of the link UH sent to the emails. Use the same password though

Mo money, mo money, mo money . . . . . it’s all about money

Yeahhhh Buddy, college FB and BB are now all about the $$$. P4 teams have to pay out $20+ million this year for their players. So it’s “pay-to-play” and “pay-to-watch-them-play.”

Now that we have the full schedule, here is a breakdown of our home games. Rank is from Barttorvik. Bold teams are projected tournament teams

Where did you find the home schedule. I looked on our Athletics web site and the full schedule is not yet posted.

Wow, what a discussion ! I’ve been going to football, basketball and baseball games since 1967 and I cannot remember once that I went to a game because of who we were playing. I went to see the Coogs. After reading this thread I’m officially a dinosaur !

What Ritzcoog said.

Attended the 1968 Valparaiso game at Delmar.

We scored 162 or so and didn’t score more because Guy pulled The Big E when he had 58 points.

Most of us here go to the games regardless of the opponent. But most of us also take note of the empty seats that inevitably show up for these games.

I just don’t want to hear fans, players and coaches wondering why the arena isn’t full for these games. The answer is obvious.

Sampson’s top priority is getting a new team ready to win the conference and beyond. Now that we have a waiting list for tickets, there isn’t much of an incentive to schedule games that will draw in new fans.

I’m fine with that approach, but I understand the criticism.

Hopefully the rumor that the athletic department is clawing back scalper tickets so that they can be sold to real season ticket fans is true. This won’t completely solve the empty seat situation when we play the little sisters of the poor, but it might help and would also help keep opposing fans (Pecker Tech cough cough) from polluting our arena.

I think the biggest thing is the students and challenges with December games in general. Going to all games isn’t enough of a habit yet to fill up those seats for some of those games.

It isn’t a huge deal to me, but I sat through the years with literally tens of fans at games.

It’s not a rumor. It’s true. I know a top person in the athletics office. It’s happening.

Been doing for three seasons.
It happens everywhere so it’s not just a UH issue.

I have a relative who is a huge Arkansas fan and even they complain about empties for their mid week game and how the arena is too big.

I think we need to implement an ID system to make sure season ticket holders show up to at least 60% of games.

Do it similar to how they do it for student tickets or airline tickets.
This will weed out the scalpers and people who only buy with the intent to sell.

This suggestion is ridiculous.
