UConn’s Dan Hurley is being mentioned as a possible candidate for the New York Knicks head coaching job. Wouldn’t it be funny if he set up this schedule and left it to his replacement after taking the Knicks job.
Hurley would have a heart attack during his first season in the NBA
St John’s has to make sense right?
Nobody want to play the crappy teams in Houston….you talked about this already , right?
You think Sampson wants to play 200+ net teams just to play in Houston?
Find some random weekend when Toyota Center is free like the past two years.
Then hit up all P5 in drivable distance and have a H-Town Showdown series.
The 2023-24 year where UH played A&M and UT played LSU was a perfect format
Now that UT is in the SEC, it would make it easier for a team like UH/TCU/Baylor to play UT/A&M/LSU.
A regional DH between Big 12-SEC would be great. Do all the teams that fit that category have interest?
Would love for UH to play Arkansas in Toyota/Little Rock or have an on campus home and home
I was thinking something like that but do the old SWC P5 teams.
Big 12 (UH,Tech, Baylor, TCU) vs SEC (UT,A&M,Ark) ACC (SMU).
Rotate who you play every year and can rotate venues from Toyota center & American Airlines center
I remember UH playing some games in Fort Worth in our AAC days vs Tech, Oklahoma State etc
Ha… I wish the Knicks would fire Thibs after making the ECF… Hopefully, that would bring back another two decades of losing.
Except for conference games, if UH can help it, keep Big 12 teams out of our city.
Can they fire him again?
Why? The whole recruiting thing is done, we’re recruiting at a national level now.
hurley saying no to the lakers just to turn around and say yes to a knicks team that probably has more immediate pressure to win it all wouldn’t make much sense even if he gets to stay closer to home lol
At least some hours, but yeah. Either way I’m just trying to address that we somehow need to keep the Big 12 out of Houston. Which I can only assume is based on the outdated notion from 25+ years ago that somehow coming into town helps schools recruit. And it just isn’t that way anymore.
Other Big 12 schools have been recruiting in Houston for a while.
Then again, our local youth basketball talent needs improvement.
I think this video is out-of-date.
It’s from last September but we still have no jet for CKS lol
Oh damn… I just saw the other articles saying he was actually fired… ha… Suck it Knicks!
I thought UH contracted with NetJets, so that Coach Sampson, and maybe Coach Fritz, had access to a private jet any time they wanted it.
Seems like a reasonable solution without purchasing a jet and sharing it with UH Staff.
