See this is great. Before the Louisville game I wanted to a ask what ranking you guys think we’d be if we squeaked by navy and smu tulane, ucf, and Tulsa. .

Regardless, If we beat Memphis we may move two slots up. If we have a power 5 bowl opponent and beat them we could finish a top 15 team and call it a very successful 11-2 season…

FWAA-NFF Super Poll. Nice to see us get some vote back in this one:

Coaches Poll:

Others receiving votes;
26 VT
27 Stanford
28 LSU
29 Navy
30 USF
31 Minnesota
32 Arkansas
33 Pitt
34 SD St
35 Wyoming

Really hoping the committee shakes things up this week. Would really like to see us in the Top 15.

And the graphic from CFB Reddit:

It really is ridiculous that an AP voter has us unrated. Smacks of personal bias.

Dodd Moved us up to 12 in his Power Rankings:

College Football Power Rankings: Big 12 benefits from a chalky weekend
The Sooners and Cowboys both moved up after big wins on Saturday

12 Houston At this rate, Tom Herman is about to become the hottest coaching candidate since Knute Rockne. He’s at, or near, the top of the list for LSU and Texas. A blowout of Louisville made a lot of folks forget about that loss to SMU.

If the committee puts us that high, we’re in striking distance of the at-large spot.

That win against Louisville was a great redeemer. UH and CTH are hopefully 100% locked in on Memphis now, because that win against the Cards and Sooners will be great highlights in an otherwise disappointing season if the Coogs don’t beat the Tigers.

If UH beats Memphis, I think UH shows the committee that the Coogs have recovered. Not sure it will be enough to make a NY6 Bowl, but maybe UH could turn a high CFP Ranking into a better bowl game than the current AAC slate of bowl games.
