Pez needs to change the seating for visitors and their bands. The far right corner of the upper deck would be a perfect place to seat them.
Yea, make em walk to use the restrooms or get some refreshments.
Sitting in the third deck would make the opposing band late to their own performance. Plus, I would expect payback and then some to our band. Put them in the corner of the end zone at field level, like we normally do.
Letâs not mimic T-Sip vs LSU in Austin.
Hmm I have mixed feelings about opposing band at ground level.
I recall when our team was on the field during ttech at home, Techâs band would play their fanfare trying to disrupt our teamâs communication during critical downs all game. Being opposite them in the stadium they were pretty loud (and annoying) and pumped up their crowd in our house.
This also happened at goal line situations where their band was sitting.
Iâd happily give put them up in the boonies and let them pull that up there where itâs harder to be a disruption/detriment to our teamđ€.
At the same time I was in band in high school, I can appreciate having to haul equipment up the stadium and down and it would be an inconvenience. I rarely recall so many of us needing to use the restroom, if we did we went at halftime. Wouldnât be late to their own show, they would just need more time to prepare for that and head down. Which means less time making noise during our 3rd down cadence and being a nuisance . #BePetty
For those who love the Spirit of Houston, keep in mind they are not funded by athletics, so even when the Big 12 money starts coming in, itâs not destined for the band.
In that regard, if a lot of us each donate a little bit, it could go a long way.
Marching Grande Pianos. Lots of them.
Isnât that a Big12 policy and not specific to UT though?
