.

Been some surprises so far.

Get two of 3
.then another 2 of 3
win your mid-weeks and see where you are in a couple of weeks.

For a team like this you don’t need any huge goals
.small goals week to week.

Then if you are successful you can have that mid season inspirational speech
.”Look what we have accomplished fellas!, we have surprised everyone!”

You get the gist

gives them something to build on and finish strong.

That’s how I would do it
.but what do I know.

So far at least 2 long ones from the UH starters is realistic.
The bullpen rough spots just need a few outs. Been 50/50 so far.

Disaster in the top of the 6th. K-State takes 4-3 lead. Runners on 2nd and 3rd. Two outs. Coogs changing pitchers again.

3 outs. 4-3 K-State going to the bottom of the 6th.

4 UH errors w 4 unearned is tough.
Huge throw away at 3d by Jean in 6th.

KSU guy on from error in 7th.
Steals without even a throw to 2nd.
Scores to put it away.

Schmitz good except his 1st innings v Vandy.
Not last night.

Crowd announced as 1368. Seemed like a good % actually went 2 the game.

Saddens me. For everyone. Whitting, the school, me.
I want them to win but they aren’t good. I know college is 90% pitching and recruiting but bad decisions and baserunning are what killed us last year, too. We could have won five more games last year by avoiding basesrunning errors. Now the errors are sinking us again.

Justin Murray 2-run single in the bottom of the 5th ties the game. That was the first hit for the Coogs.

1st and 3rd, 2 outs, pitching change

Clutch single by Harold Coll drives in 2 more runs. 4-2 Coogs.

Coll thrown out trying to steal. :frowning:
