If you are going to any of the games and taking your kids be sure to have them watch Armani Raygoza for UTRGV.
I saw the kid play multiple games in wood bat tournaments….this cat can flat out RAKE.
Incredible hit tool with power….he stays so connected and his hands are lightening fast.
I’ll be there and will be tailgating, hopefully +3
Looks like our games are back on ESPN+ with the exception of the Frisco Classic. I wouldn’t be surprised if those games are back on Victory+ since that network carries the Dallas Stars and Rangers games.
One thing about Puerto Rico was you could see the ball hit the bat than hear it about two seconds later. Just a touch of a sound delay I had to get used to.
The Frisco Series will be on D1Baseball.
I’m looking on Uhcougars.com and I can’t find any game day promotions. I gave 2 tickets to my coworker and her husband. She said they want ballpark food. Do we not do certain specials on certain days? The last game day promotions I can find is for the 2024 season.
One thing is for sure….when they get a new coach and get serious about baseball they are going to have to do a much better job with production of the games.
Tickets
Parking
Concessions
Promotions
All have to get exponentially better.
I just called the ticket office. They told me at this moment they don’t have any promotions for baseball. Lol I’d think promotions and gimmicks would be the main way to get folks to games now a days. Especially with our lack of success recently.
It’s almost like nobody in the AD’s office is paying attention to baseball. ![]()
Well I understand all our marbles are in basketball/football but you could spend 1 day or less setting up something like:
2 dollar ticket Tuesdays. Beside UT game.
2 dollar hot dog, 1 dollar popcorn, 2 dollar soda Friday.
Bark at the park Saturday. Bring your dog.
Run the bases Sunday.
I found a bunch of stuff online with quick research. I like the one where they put a bag of popcorn on 2nd base and the catcher gets a throw down before the game. If he hits the bag everyone gets free popcorn. You’d probably just need a business to sponsor it. That could be done on a Saturday or Sunday.
It’s just a complete lack of trying. Not putting any effort. I mean 0 effort is put in. None of this is reinventing the wheel.
Exactly. Just pick the dates. Then go work on sponsors when there’s some capacity.
Didn’t you just give away all your tickets for this weekend? And you’re supposedly worried about game day promotions? It’s opening weekend! Is a promotion needed for that? I notice the people commenting have already said they won’t go to a game until CTW is gone so how would they know anything about the game day experience?
I live 56 miles from UH. I don’t have time to attend that many games. I buy tickets because they call and ask me to buy them. I try to give them to whoever so they can go free. I always try to make sure my tickets are used even though I rarely use them myself. I donate 2 games to our little league raffle. UT and Baylor game this year.
Sure, we don’t know anything about game day experience ![]()
Many of us have played D-1 ball, others have been UH baseball fans for YEARS……but yeah, never seen anything in regards to game day experience….get bent
If you had read what he wrote, you would see that his issue is that there is no promotion schedule at all, regardless of the first game.
And in case you’ve never been, even the Astros offer promotions for opening weekend. Is our program so popular that we’re above all that? ![]()
They’re not doing anything to bring people back or get new folks in the door.
Seriously? Try harder…
