UH defensive coordinator Mark D'Onofrio has $1.2 million contract

Several people have asked, here you go.

I’m not sure why the over curiosity toward the coordinator salaries. Once Major’s pay was announced, it wasn’t a big reach to assume our staff was going to get paid between what Levine’s staff was first paid and Herman’s staff was first paid.

Herman’s buyout almost covers the whole staff for 2017. (slight exaggeration)

Have we gotten that buyout yet? Just curious.

I think It had to be paid within 90-120 days if I remember right.

Contracts are written so that they may be enforced though legal proceedings if necessary - which could take several years to resolve if you’re dealing with an entity like UT-Austin (with their overly abundant legal influences and resources). So, notwithstanding Herman’s contract language, nothing really “has to be paid” unless and until UT/Herman decide to honor the agreement.

Well it’s convenient then that we showed a willingness to settle and they turned it down. How much money on lawyers do you think they are willing to spend to hold off paying us what they will no doubt end up paying us? I doubt they want to try to set any legal precedents that will come back to haunt them.

It depends on what the meaning of the word of is…is.
