Serious question, what is the verdict on our run with dark blue? The fight song is fight for red and white… I get it, but is dark steel blue one of our official colors? Love when we wear the throw backs in hoops too
I haven’t seen dark blue trim since C-USA days and that was mostly used with the baseball caps. When UH went to the AAC during the Levine days, they switched to grey trim. Now it’s just red and white…

I agree, it was a great look on a t shirt, just not Logo material.

That little triangle bugs me. It has NO reason to exist except that the artist has no ability to visualize 3D. Make it 2D or 3D but not both. That or it was an attempt to mimic MC Escher.
I understand why it exists. The outer outline of the U and H needs to remain consistent. Without it, it looks like something is missing.

We don’t use that 2012-present one anymore.
That one is beveled + shading.
We use the flat logo now:

That was the official educational logo for years.
This was the logo used on the helmet from 95-98 with both letters on the same plan trimmed in blue
The logo we used on the helmet from 60’s through 94, which has the leg of the H in front of the U with the cross bar of the H behind, again trimmed in blue for you haters.
I don’t know where the blue hate came from but it has been on the helmets since at least the 60’s according to the helmet history sites until we left the phat logo.

I love the subtle blue as well on our uniforms
I mean Andre Ware, Hakeem, Elvin Hayes, Drexler and Kolb all had blue on their uniforms. Think we need to bring that tradition back, at least some dark blue trim
